Wonderfully Rural
Set in the picturesque Mid-Wales countryside & with the back-drop of a working sheep farm, Penlan Lodges are a real breath of fresh air.
“Your spot high up on the hills is wonderfully rural and wild. Meaning perfect peace, wildlife from badgers to buzzards and night skies that dazzle with their clarity.”
The king-sized beds, the big wicker ones out on the deck. Even the hot tub and the big copper bath. They all serve to frame this beautiful setting and let you enjoy it.
While you feel immersed in nature, the lodges have all the modern comforts, from induction hobs to the en suite shower room and loo, all decorated in understated colours with accents of copper and slate.
Outside, you can't miss the hot tubs, there’s also a firebowl, where you can try some simple cooking or just huddle at night and watch the sparks whirl up towards the stars while enjoying one of our locally sourced food & drink hampers.
The area around the cabins is perfect for any kind of adventuring. You can visit Llandrindod Wells or Knighton for local shops and cafes, the Offa’s Dyke Centre for a bit of history, or walk the cycle path straight to the Elan Valley, a beautiful area for hiking and biking.
As a working sheep farm, unfortunately we can not take dogs.

A couple of hundred metres behind the lodges is the house of your hosts Anita and Glyn.
They (and their three dogs) love meeting new people, but are just as happy to leave you to it.
